Theme-Tas-Stitch February link up post

Theme-tas-stitch

I'm very excited that the first Theme-Tas-Stitch check in is upon us and to see what all you've all been up to. Welcome to you if you are visiting as you stumbled upon this SAL whilst reading another blog (or any other way you found me!) Leave your blog in the comments and I'll pop over to you too.

Some of you will remember Theme-a-licious couple of years ago hosted by  Heather at It's Geek to me. It was a fun SAL where you stitched on a different theme each month and linked up to a check in post that Heather posted. Heather no longer runs it so I asked if I could do something similar. Theme-tas-Stitch was born. Further details can be found in the tab at the top of the page.

This months theme was...
Focus Finish February -
Is there a WIP in your stash that you would love to get finished - then focus on a finish in February!
I had a big debate with myself as to what project I wanted to do out of these 3

I ended up doing the biscornu as it was annoying me the most - seriously I was really cross that it had taken me so long to do the final 400 stitches and to sew it up. Well I got it done in a weekend and with that went my stitchy bug.

I moved on to Plum Street Samplers 12 Days and barely got anywhere. I don't know whether I'm bored of it or just have no stitchy mojo, I will persevere for the next week and then I think it'll go away for a while. I managed to get most of the ninth day done, so my target for the week is to complete that square and the borders and move on. That will see it 3/4 done so that's not that bad really. I forgot to take a photo though.

So what have you been stitching this month?

Link up below and I look forward to seeing what you've been up to.

Next months theme is...

March Madness -
Work on as many different projects in March - You could do one a day or have a day when you see how many you can stitch on.

I am excited by this one...I have maybe 22 potential projects lined up. There will be SO many photographs!! I'll be having a good kitting up session next  weekend.

Happy stitching friends.

  1. Congrats on a Focus Finish. Sorry that your stitchy bug has disappeared. Well mine also hides now and then , so may be its a naught creature.
Initially I thought I won't be able to participate in March Madness as I'm OAAT stitcher, but the plan has changed. I need to stitch 2-3 smalls in March, so yay!

  2. I love your Focus Finish. Your biscornu is really cute. Sometimes that happens to me, especially if I force myself to work on something I really don't want to do. Picking up a really small project to work on helps a lot. I hope your stitching mojo comes back soon.

  3. Well done on your biscornu, it's gorgeous. I'm sure your stitching mojo will return, March Madness seems a great way to be inspired again with little projects.

  4. Thanks for hosting. Hopefully reading all the links will kickstart your stitching bug again. Obviously I took a sideways look at this month and will probably do the same next month!

  6. Thank you for hosting this SAL, I've just posted and have had fantastic progress with a long-standing WIP so thanks for keeping me motivated!
Your biscornu is absolutely beautiful. I hope your stitching mojo comes back in time for March Madness! I usually only have a few things being actively stitched at any time but I think I have a plan for March...

  7. So glad you finished the biscornu, and it's okay to take a break now and again. Getting 3/4 of the way on 12 Days is huge, plus it's okay to work on other projects. http://tiffstitch.blogspot.com/2017/02/theme-tas-stitch-focus-february.html

  11. Well done on completing the biscornu. I think all the red on the 12 Days got a bit boring when I was doing them. Perhaps you could have half an hour each time you sit to stitch or like Jo do one or two threads so that progress is made slowly and not in bigger chunks that cause boredom?
Unfortunately, I only have 1 knitting WIP on the go and 1 stitching one at the moment, I have enjoyed seeing what others did for the SAL.
