Gifted Gorgeousness - June - Just about

Hello Friends,

Over a week late for GG this month hosted by the fabulous Jo at serendipidous Stitching where we show our stitching that uses gifted items or that will be gifted to others. I just don't know where the month has gone. I have managed to stitch a a fair bit of stitching in including this for my best friend's birthday. It's a long standing joke that she always buys me jelly beans and I always buy her flying saucers. It was a chart from the Emma Congdon chart book that came with Cross Stitch Crazy recently and I changed the word Chocolate to Jelly beans and the brown stitching for green as it's my favourite colour and charted pink worked well as it is Sarah's favourite.

I've been stitching on the Tea and Cakes Sal from Lakeside Needlecraft. It's a free sal designed by Durene Jones and I've stitched it on gifted fabric (14ct and 28ct over one) and with mostly gifted threads.

I've started stitching the teacher cards for DD, I though I was going to get away with just 2 as DS is now at high school, but DD has a different teacher once a week and extra phonics lessons with a 4th so 4 it is!

Lastly I was very lucky to win this lovely chart from Mii. I can't wait to stitch this!

I hope you've all had a great stitchy month.

The slightly late Theme-tas-stitch June check in

Hi folks,

Sorry it's late. When I signed up for my business administration diploma I don't think I appreciated how much time it would actually take up.

So this month's theme was Jardin June and the challenge was to stitch on a floral or garden themed piece.

I've been stitching M'lady's Sweet Greenhouse designed by Gaynor of Stitcher Anon for the Lakeside Needlecraft sal.

I've done a bit more than that now but I'm currently sat on an airfield in Leicestershire watching crash tests for a work thing so I can't take an updated photo. It's such a lovely design. The flowers and palette that have been released so far are so pretty.

I did flowers on these little Lizzie Kate freebies and started some butterfly and flower cards that are diary of an Edwardian lady cover gifts from magazines.

So what have you been up to?

Link up below and share your garden goodness!

Next month is inspired by Justine and is Just one July!
Pick a focus piece for the month and see how much progress you can make - show us before and after pictures if you can.
Happy stitching friends.

My first MAYnia!!

I did it, I did Maynia, just 2 months after my own March Madness!

For those who don't know Maynia is a SAL held every May in the Facebook group Stitch Maynia. The idea started as 15 new starts for the first 15 days of May. Now it is very much whatever is manic to you. I chose to do 8 new starts and 9 wips for the first 17 days and then to work on the same projects, rotating daily for the rest of the month. - well that was the plan. I found the tea and cakes SAL and M'lady's Sweet Greenhouse SAL over at Lakeside needlecraft and the second round of rotation went out the window! I did manage the first 17 days though...
