Welcome

As the song from Gilmore Girls says “So welcome to my little corner of the world”. It’s all about me and my crafting – focusing around my love for stitching and sewing along with anything else that catches my eye. So welcome, grab a coffee and happy reading.

A bit of this, a bit of that.

Hello friends,

A short post today, partly because it felt really odd not to have written a blog this weekend. It's been a good week for stitching. I've had a start and a finish (which I will save for GG) and made very good inroads into one of my Focus Finish February pieces for Theme-Tas-Stitch. I decided to go with the biscornu and after a good session on it yesterday I have around 200 stitches to go. It's hard to see the stitching on the back but it's there! Then it'll just be the making up. I am on for a finish today. I'll be going back to Twelve Days after. I don't think I can get a finish by check in on the 21st but it's possible I could have a finish by the end of the month.

I did a little bit of work on my smalls piece too which is another pair of the earrings from Cross Stitcher magazine and sorted all my threads out! I usually do a re-order of threads each year to top up my set of DMC. I only need 17 this year, which clearly goes to show I didn't stitch a great deal last year and what I did was the big Anchor kit. I'm not complaining as I only have a tiny stitching budget so it all helps as I want two large pieces of fabric for Elizabeth Shepherd and the Cityscape from last months WOXS.

So amongst the big thread sort out and a ton of stitching I framed two pieces from the box of shame. I did go for the easiest two but it's two never the less...

The Giraffe was a Kincavel Krosses design and stitched about 4 -5 years ago.

The Game of Thrones one I stitches about 2-3 years ago and was a design by a seller on Etsy, but I can't remember who. I brought inexpensive frames from Tiger for them and framed them quite quickly. The GoT one has a crease that no amount of ironing would move!

So that is it for today. I'm going to sort some charts for printing and then get back on the stitching.

Happy Sunday!
