Smalls SAL February check in

Wow that came round quickly!

The Smalls SAL is hosted by Heather of Stitching Lotus and we each month complete a small design and blog on the last Friday of the month.

I've had a couple of small finishes this month, you have seen the needle book I stitched for my friend Caroline from a kit by Textile Heritage.

My latest smalls finish is this tiny embroidery hoop from a little pack of them I brought from Tiger. It measures around an inch and the fabric was about 42ct. I completely made up the design using random embroidery stitches. I really enjoyed doing this and I'll plan to do the rest as I brought 2 packs so 7 to go! I love stitching over 1 on fabrics, but I've never stitched that small (most stitches on this were over 2 or 3 but I found a pretty little rose that would fit that I plan to do and I like the idea of a rainbow too. Maybe I'll try and get another pack and do one each month - they only cost £2 a pack and come with fabric threads and needle. The idea's are running away with me now!

Off for a look around to see what you've all been up too.

Happy Stitching

  2. Great hoop stitching, so tiny - there's a Tiger shop in Cardiff so I might look for these next time we visit our daughter - great idea.

  5. Lovely colourful needlebook and tiny hoop finish. I´ve seen these hoops for sale on the DMC blog but they are more expensive than Tiger.

  11. The mini hoops are adorable! We don't have a Tiger, in fact I've never heard of them. Wish we did!
