Theme-Tas-Stitch - March Madness link up post

Hello friends

I can't believe it's link up time already so here is this month's Theme-Tas-Stitch link up post.

This months theme was...

March Madness -
Work on as many different projects in March - You could do one a day or have a day when you see how many you can stitch on.
I can't believe that I've stitched on so many different projects this month - 12 so far! I shared a few of my Theme-Tas- Stitch projects in Gifted Gorgeousness so here is a quick recap and then on with the rest up until today.

The above design was one I found on Pinterest here, There are several small alphabet samplers on the page, so I'll be stitching a few of those.

After seeing this really lovely sampler of months on Tiff's blog, I thought it would make a good year long project for me too. The designs are from here. Each month I've chosen a different variegated read from out of my stash it is stitched on a piece of aida that was gifted to me by Sarah.

January - Anchor 1344
February - Anchor 1203
March - DMC 4050

Next up is a little kit I picked up in Hobbycraft which has been an absolute nightmare to stitch on. It is my mum's 70th birthday on Thursday and I thought this would make a nice little memento. I have never seen so many fractionals in tiny kit, backstitch in so many colours and such a terrible floss key I ended up swapping the aida for evenweave.

This little heart stitched in a coloris thread is to make an ornie for the travelling box when it arrives at some point in April or May

I stitched this little kit from Cross Stitcher magazine - I need to find a slightly better way of finishing with the mount from the kit.

So what madness have you been up this month?

So next month we have...

April Showers -
What pieces do you have that contain water? - It might be rain, river, sea or lake - see how many stitches you can make!
I think this will be a job for the mighty shoehorn for me as I can't think of anything in my WIP pile that has water in. Feel free to join in with us!
I'll pop back at the end of the month and show you the last of my March Madness.

Happy stitching  Link up below and I look forward to seeing what you've been up to.

  1. I really like the small design you're working on for your mum's birthday. It looks so pretty already.... despite all the troubles you've encountered with it.

  9. Thanks for being a great host again. I am so pleased that you found the home of the cute alphabet, I loved her other charts. Did you see the square one with the alphabet all around the edge? Doesn't it look funny backwards across the bottom of the piece?
